Jonathan Luna could’ve hired me as a ghostwriter—just like most of my clients do. And it wouldn’t have been the slightest bit unethical. Quest was his idea, his story, his vision. It was born from his desire to honor Southeast Asian culture and bring that influence into an epic fantasy setting. He didn’t need to share the credit.
But he did.
Jonathan insisted on making me a co-writer. He made sure my name was on the cover, not just behind the scenes. And that touched me more deeply than I can say.
